District 76 Riders (“D76,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our community.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you when using District 76.

1. Information You Provide

Depending upon the features you use, you may provide information including:

  • name;
  • username;
  • email address;
  • profile information;
  • profile photograph;
  • general location;
  • timezone;

  • photos and other uploads;
  • posts and comments;
  • messages;
  • event information;
  • road information;
  • marketplace listings;
  • Crew participation;

  • other information you voluntarily submit.

Passwords are not stored in readable form and are protected using appropriate password hashing.

2. Location Information

Certain District 76 features use location information.

You may provide a general location to help us display relevant riders, roads, events, businesses, or other content.

Features such as Rider Assist may require more precise location information.

When you initiate a Rider Assist request, location information may be used to identify nearby participating Helpers and may be shared with potential or responding Helpers as reasonably necessary to facilitate assistance.

Helpers may also provide location or availability information necessary to determine whether they are near a request.

Do not activate location-dependent features unless you are comfortable with the location processing described for that feature.

3. Rider Assist

When you use Rider Assist, we may process:

  • your account and profile information;
  • Helper availability status;
  • approximate or precise location;
  • request location;
  • description of requested assistance;
  • request and response timestamps;
  • communications relating to the request;
  • status and outcome information;
  • reports concerning misuse or safety incidents; and
  • policy acceptance records.

Information necessary to facilitate a request may be disclosed to participating users.

Rider Assist information must not be used by participants for unrelated tracking, harassment, marketing, stalking, or exploitation.

4. Emergency Rider Card

Emergency Rider Card is optional.

Depending upon what you choose to provide, information may include emergency contacts and health-related emergency information.

Emergency Rider Card information is intended to be accessible to a person who scans or otherwise accesses your configured emergency card.

Because the purpose of the feature is emergency accessibility, you should only include information you are comfortable making available through the emergency access mechanism.

We use reasonable technical safeguards, including encryption where implemented, to protect stored sensitive information.

No online system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Content and Communications

We process content you create, including posts, comments, photos, events, roads, marketplace listings, and other submissions.

Messages and group communications are processed as necessary to deliver and operate messaging functionality.

Authorized access to information may occur when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, enforce policies, protect users, maintain the platform, or comply with legal obligations.

6. Technical Information

This may include:

  • your account identifier;
  • agreement or policy;
  • version;
  • date and time;
  • IP address;
  • browser/device information; and
  • other reasonable audit information.

These records may be retained after account deletion when reasonably necessary to establish consent, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, or defend legal claims.

These providers may process information on our behalf according to the services they provide.

Our current infrastructure may include providers identified elsewhere on the site or within relevant privacy controls.

10. Analytics and Cookies

D76 may use cookies and similar technologies necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and operation of the Services.

Optional analytics technologies are used according to your consent where required.

You may adjust available cookie preferences through the site's cookie controls.

11. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

D76 does not sell personal information for money.

If our data practices materially change, this Policy will be updated as required by applicable law.

12. Information Shared With Other Users

Information you intentionally publish may be visible according to the audience settings associated with the feature.

Information shared through public profiles, posts, comments, events, marketplace listings, or other public features should be treated as information that others may copy or redistribute.

Nothing in this Policy creates an obligation to continuously monitor user activity.

14. Business or Organizational Transfers

If District 76 is reorganized, incorporated, converted to a nonprofit organization, merged, transferred, or succeeded by another organization, information may transfer to the successor entity as part of that transition, subject to applicable law.

15. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

Account and ordinary user content may generally be deleted when an account is deleted, subject to technical backup cycles and legitimate retention requirements.

  • legal obligations;
  • dispute resolution;
  • policy acceptance records;
  • financial or transaction records;
  • enforcement records; or

Backups may retain information until overwritten through normal backup rotation.

16. Account Deletion

You may delete your account using available account settings.

Deletion removes or de-identifies information according to our deletion procedures, except information we are legally permitted or required to retain.

Information previously shared with other users may remain in their possession.

17. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information.

However, no internet service, storage system, transmission method, or security measure can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials.

19. Privacy Rights

Depending upon where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or other handling of personal information.

We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

Residents of jurisdictions providing a right to complain to a privacy regulator may exercise that right.
