What is R.A.D.D.?

Riders Against Dangerous Driving, commonly known by its acronym R.A.D.D., is a grassroots organization based in Clarksville, TN, dedicated to promoting motorcycle safety awareness through exciting, community‑focused events.

Mission & Vision

R.A.D.D. believes in empowering riders—especially younger ones—to embrace safer habits on the road by blending education with entertainment. Their mission is to bring riders and drivers together in a positive and engaging atmosphere, helping everyone learn to share the road responsibly.

Because we care.

Our youth is our future. Several new young riders hit our roadways every year. Our mission is to educate and mentor these new riders. Our goal is to bring resources to riders to educate them and further their skills. We work hard to keep our riders safe and bring awareness to the community. We believe riding is a great American freedom that should be enjoyed and not feared. Our members are dedicated to safety and make it their top priority. Our vision is to reduce the number of fatalities within our community to ZERO. Once we meet our goals our efforts will not just stop there but will continue to always improve our riding community!

Our initiatives

R.A.D.D. believe in safety with a purpose and currently has several initiatives that correlate with our mission:

  • Mission ZERO

Bringing our fatal accidents and injury accidents within our community to ZERO.

  • Not in the STREETS, Only at the MEETZ

Educating our riders that their skills should be practiced in safe environments and not on the roadways.

  • It's COOL until it's NOT

Supporting safe riding practices and emphasizing the dangers of reckless driving.

What Goes Down at a R.A.D.D. Safety Events

At their signature Motorcycle Safety Event—most recently hosted at Clarksville Regional Airport—the lineup is built with riders in mind:

  • Live Safety Demonstrations
Watch real-time riding technique showcases that break down hazard recognition, braking, and evasive maneuvers in a clear, practical way.

  • Interactive Booths & Games
Fun, hands-on activities—like reaction-time challenges—bring safety lessons to life and help riders apply them in memorable ways.

  • Educational Resources
Browse booths that cover essential topics: helmet fit, gear, bike maintenance, and understanding the legalities of riding.

  • Community Vibe
Bounce to live music, grab refreshments, and meet fellow riders in a welcoming atmosphere where everyone—from newbies to seasoned pros—feels at home.

  • Prizes & Giveaways
Win safety gear, free training vouchers, or other cool riding swag through raffles—tying fun rewards to smart decisions.

Why It Stands Out for Young Riders

  • Hands-on Learning Style
These events transform passive education into immersive experiences, perfect for riders who prefer action over lectures.

  • Building Confidence
Seeing expert demonstrations and chatting with peers helps young riders gain confidence in their skills—and identity—without pressure.

  • Social and Supportive
R.A.D.D. events are about more than safety—they’re about forging connections in the riding community. Expect good vibes, new friendships, and inclusive fun.

  • Standout for Your Crew
Loving the ride is one thing—riding smart is another. Bring your riding squad to part‑wake up calls served through live demos, relatable games, and solid takeaways.

How to Get Involved

  • Join the Next Event
R.A.D.D. hosts seasonal safety gatherings (like the Spring event on May 9th); keep tabs on their Facebook page or local bulletins to RSVP.

  • Volunteer or Sponsor
Help as an event volunteer or even secure vendor space to bring your gear—or your logos—to connect with the riding community.

  • Spread the Word
Even if you're not fully riding yet, tagging along and inviting friends can inspire others in your circle to start smart.

  • Gear Up & Educate
Take the opportunity to pick up gear tips, go with basic safety rules, and maybe even sign up for certified training events.

The Big Takeaway

R.A.D.D. isn’t just another riding group—it’s a movement. Through high-energy demos, interactive learning, and each rider’s shared enthusiasm, they make safety both relevant and compelling.
